I just had a look at 6.5 again, it is very simmilar in layout to 12 and has same trouble with analogue video capture devices, but does grey out things it does not support in current configuration like DV and HDDV I expect i will be uninstalling 12 LE simmply because its a commplete waste of time having to keep dismissing the upgrade box so damn often. Thankfully installing this did not damage the Oem 6.5 Installation, which I have had little cause to use either. The profiles for output are wxtremely limited and it can't burn a project to dvd as that launches a you need to upgrade to 13 ultra too! I am uncertain if this offers anything more than my free video authoring tools can except a potentially nicer looking gui made extremely agrevating by the exesive number of butttons that launch the sorry you need to upgrade popup. It also seems to have replaced one or more system fonts, or the system font has changed since this was installed. It fails to offer any choice of video capture devices, does not even let me know which devices it managed to find.

But why would cyberlink be so generous and acomodatinng? Because this LE limited Edition is not a full commercial version that you could otherwise buy, but is purely a marketin bundle with more buttons for features you CANNOT USE WITHOUT UPGRADING TO VERSIOM 13 ULTRA than functional buttons (at least it feels that way).

I notice that the protected setup.exe launches the cyberlink download manager that downloads the RAR SFX setup archive stored in the folder of our choice. I have an oem installed version 6.5 of this so decided to try the version 12 LE upgrade.
